Discover Music is an interactive programme that introduces young children to the basic elements of music – rhythm, pitch, music notation, musical instruments. The programme uses innovative activities and games integrating the Carl Orff, the Kodály, the Da Capo and the Colourstrings approaches to early music education. Listening to music, singing and percussion exercises are an integral part of the lesson. These classes provide a good foundation for the learning of an instrument. Children between the ages of 1 and 6:

• Learn how to maintain a steady beat,
• Learn a conscious understanding of rhythm and pulse,
• Learn songs and rhymes and the difference between these,
• Are introduced to percussion instruments with the aim of keeping time,
• Are exposed to musical instruments and extracts of classical music
